Dr Yaroslav Vasilcisin is a leading specialist in hip and knee arthroplasty and has pioneered various operative interventions of the hip, knee and spine.

He graduated from the Chernivtsi State Medical Institute in 1996 and served his internship at the institute’s Traumatology, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery Department in 1996-1998. In 2003, he took on the position as Chief Physician of the Centre for Traumatology and Orthopaedics, Swedish-Ukrainian Mezhitsinsky Centre Angelholm. In 2008, he received his academic title - Candidate of Medical Sciences and was conferred the “Honoured Doctor of Ukraine” title by the Decree of the President of Ukraine for medical achievements in the field of traumatology, orthopaedics and neurosurgery. Since 2013, he has taken the role as Associate Professor of the Department of Traumatology, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery, Bukovina State Medical University.

Dr Yaroslav Vasilcisin is repeatedly trained in leading medical centres in Sweden, Germany, USA, France and Italy, and has performed more than 8,000 complex surgical interventions. He is also the author of two monographs, 15 scientific papers, six patents and copyright certificates for inventions.
